Yes and no. The insides of the book will mostly be the same as the previous versions, however, Forever has commissioned stunning new covers with gold foil and embossing. They’ll look like the previous covers but with a definite glow-up! You can pre-order them here and here

The UK versions from Orbit UK will be coming on October 19, and you can find those pre-orders here and here. These will also include gorgeous character artwork on the inside cover!

Q: Will there be a difference between the paperbacks of Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King releasing from Forever on September 12, 2023, and the self-published editions?

A: The self-published editions will no longer be for purchase as of August 15, 2023. Any remaining stock you might see online will just be leftovers, but those will be the last of them.

Q: Will the self-published paperback editions of Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King still be available for purchase?

You bet. Those aren’t going anywhere. The ebooks are now available for purchase on all major ebook retail sites.  Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King will soon move into Kindle Unlimited with my US publisher. My UK publisher will be keeping book one in Kindle Unlimited. Which one you can access will depend on what Amazon store you use.

Q: Will your eBooks still be available?

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t have a way to transfer all those pre-orders over from my indie account to the publisher, so they had to be canceled. You can grab your new pre-order here. And save that receipt because we’ve got some surprises planned, including an amazing pre-order incentive and a Gabriel-shaped treat coming in the next few months!

Q: Why did my pre-order for Fate of the Sun King get canceled?

*Cringes* Due to the logistics and constraints of printing and distribution, the release of Fate of the Sun King will be pushed back just a wee tiny bit to June 4, 2024. I know. I know. I’m sorry. I know you’re waiting, and I thank you so much for waiting just a smidge longer. But the good news is book four will come out in the fall of 2024, so you won’t have to wait long for the series to be complete—overall, the timeline isn’t that different from what I had originally planned. I appreciate your patience and understanding, and I’m so thrilled you’re all so eager for the next installment!

Q: When is Fate of the Sun King releasing?

There are four books planned in the Artefacts of Ouranos series right now. But we'll see what the future holds. I definitely have ideas for a spin-off or two.

Q: How many books are in the Artefacts of Ouranos series?

Yes. The audiobook for Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King are already available on Audible. The remaining two audiobooks will follow around the same time as the print and ebooks are published.

Q: Do you have audiobooks for Artefacts of Ouranos?

I’m very excited that Artefacts is going global and will be published in twelve additional languages, including: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Bulgarian, and Hungarian. The first of these will release in 2024, and I’ll be sure to post and share in my newsletter once dates for these editions have been confirmed.

Q: When will The Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King be available in other countries/languages?

A: Not at this time, however, there are plans for a tour in 2024 with the release of Fate of the Sun King next year. We’ll be polling readers on the ideal places to stop, so keep an eye out for that! If you’d like to meet me, I’m confirmed to attend Apollycon in April 2024 in Washington, as well as Romance Invades the Rockies in Calgary, AB in July 2024. (There will be some others too, but those haven’t been announced yet.) You can find the latest info on my events page

Q: Will you go on a book tour?

Truthfully, working with a traditional publisher has always been my goal. I’ve absolutely loved indie publishing, and that hasn’t changed, but working with a big publisher allows me to get the visibility for my books that I’ve always wanted. Most writers will tell you it’s always been their dream to walk into their local Barnes and Noble (or, in my case, Chapters Indigo) and see their book on the table. I seriously have to pinch myself every morning that I’m fortunate enough to work with Forever and Orbit UK and their amazing teams. This opportunity will allow me to keep on writing books for many years to come, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Q: Why did you decide to team up with a traditional publisher?

My upcoming publishing schedule looks a bit like this (obviously, this is subject to change):

Artefacts of Ouranos
Fate of the Sun King--June 4, 2024
Book 4--Fall 2024

Nightfire Quartet
Heart of Night and Fire--Sept 15, 2023
Book 2--February 2024
Book 3--August 2024
Book 4--December 2024

Romcoms
Not Suitable for Work (NSFW)--Summer 2025
Romcom #2--TBD
Romcom#3--TBD

Q: What is your upcoming publishing schedule?

Moving forward, ARCs will mostly be going through NetGalley, since that's how traditional publishers tend to do it. ARC opportunities will be available through my Facebook reader group or Discord reader group, where you can post your NetGalley profile link so my publisher's PR team can approve your requests. Any beta reading requests will also go through these two groups.

Q: How do I get on your ARC and/or beta team?

I'm both! I started out as an indie author, but I now have two fantasy romance series coming out from traditional big 5 publishers. One is the Artefacts of Ouranos series from Grand Central Publishing through their Forever Imprint, as well as through Orbit UK. The second is my Nightfire series with Bookouture Hachette UK. I currently have a couple of other books that are still indie published, and I see myself doing both types of publishing in the future.

Q: Are you an indie or traditionally published author?

There are four books planned in the Artefacts of Ouranos series right now. But we'll see what the future holds. I definitely have ideas for a spin-off or two.

Q: How many books are in the Nightfire Quartet series?

I still have plans for To Wake a Kingdom in the future, however, it isn't the priority right now due to my current publishing schedule. At some point, I'd love to publish another book that will likely become an interconnected standalone about a certain silver-haired faerie. As soon as I have updates, I will share them!

Q: Are you going to publish a sequel for To Wake a Kingdom?

I don't currently have any specific plans to expand on their story, but never say never. I am planning a few more novellas in the same vein of, 'Cursed Captors' though, so keep an eye out for that!

Q: Will you write more about Wicked and Rowan?

Review copies can be obtained from my publishers, depending on what book you're looking for. For Artefacts of Ouranos, contact the PR team at Forever if you're in North America or Orbit UK if you're in the UK. For the Nightfire Quartet, get in touch with Second Sky Books

Q: How do I get a physical review copy if I'm an influencer?

Absolutely! To find out about cover reveals, ARC opportunities, contests, events, and any other news, be sure to sign up for my newsletter, join my reader groups on Facebook or Discord, or follow me on social media (links are at the bottom of this page).

Q: Can I be a part of future cover reveals and other news?

You can access the bonus chapter by signing up for my newsletter here. Once you've confirmed your subscription, you'll receive a welcome email that includes the link and password to access the chapter.

Q: How do I get the bonus chapter 28 from ROAK?

Heart of Night and Fire was actually written quite a while ago, and the series was acquired by my publisher almost a year ago--this is just when they're choosing to release it. While it might feel like it's pushing the release of Artefacts back, I assure you it isn't, and I'm very much focused on that series. Creatively, I do better when I switch between projects, too.

Q: Why are you publishing Heart of Night and Fire instead of focusing on Artefacts?

Yes, I'm open to blurb requests! I'm only interested in romance of pretty much any sub-genre in adult. If it's YA, then I prefer fantasy romance. I will also give priority to BIPOC authors. Please email my agent Lauren Spieller and send in your request.
